Grasslands National Park 2021

In May 2021, after a winter of pandemic isolation, we decided to visit Grasslands National Park in southern Saskatchewan.    Our interest was peaked during a Foothills Camera Club activity where members shared their favourite places to travel to photograph nearby - a nostalgia activity since no one was able to travel at the time.   One of the reasons we wanted to go the Grasslands is that it is Dark Sky country.  We were able to step out of our van and take night images right there, with a fence protecting us from free-roaming bison.   While we were there, we drove the many roads within the park, some that were a bit rough for our van.  Being that it was May, the mosquitoes were not bothersome and the temperature was pleasant.  We will go back again.
