We travelled to Australia from October 8 to December 2, 2017.   We left Calgary on Sunday, October 8 at 9:30 PM and flew Air Canada through Vancouver.  We arrived in Brisbane on Tuesday, October 10 at 7:25 AM after a 14.5 hour flight.  Our first impressions of Australia were that all the trees and birds were different, the driving was opposite, the season was opposite, and finding north was a challenge.  In our 54 days in Australia we drove 10,000 kms in 6 rental cars and took 5 internal flights.  We stayed in 35 different spots and visited 10 World Heritage Sites.  With our new enthusiasm for photography, we (mostly Neil) took over 5800 photos.  We left from Sydney and arrived home on December 2 after a trip that we wondered how we would ever outdo in the future.
