In January 2019 we had the privilege of travelling to Antarctica with our friends, Karen and Rick Jackson.  We left Calgary on January 15th and returned on February 17th.  To begin, we toured Santiago, Patagonia, & Punta Arenas, Chile prior to flying to King George's Island in Antarctica on January 25th.  We were on the One Ocean Expedition cruise on the Ioffe Vavilov ship until February 2 when we flew back to Punta Arenas from the Falkland Islands.   From there we flew to Puerto Montt where we rented a car for the remainder of our trip.  We toured the Lake District of Chile, spent 3 nights in Argentina, and 5 nights in Valparaiso, Chile.
